Getting Started with Bed of Nails Acupressure
1. Start here: What is Bed of Nails?
Bed of Nails is the ultimate 21st century acupressure meditation bed. Our BON Mats have been ergonomically designed for optimum coverage, whether for the whole body or for just one section. Manufactured from materials of the best quality, our cushion is designed to make pressure adjustment simple and easy.
2. A few tips to keep in mind as you use your Bed of Nails:
~ Most people lay on the BON Acupressure Mat on the floor or their bed. This provides the strongest treatment with the most pressure as all your body weight is on the nails. Another option, for less pressure, is to lean your BON against the back of a chair or the sofa.
~ For sensitive skin, feel free to begin by wearing a thin t-shirt until you feel comfortable using your BON Mat with bare skin. (Bare skin is best for the strongest treatment.)
~ Visit our How To page.
~ Remember that our hands and feet have the most nerve endings, which is why BON feels so much stronger to the touch. It won't feel so strong on your back or other body parts.
~ Stepping on the BON Mat can be very energizing (due to the benefits of reflexology) and it can be intense since your whole body weight is pressing on very few spikes. Laying on it will be less intense as you will distribute your weight over more nails. So we recommend working up to standing on the BON Mat, especially with bare feet.
